Common SEO FAQs Answered
Let’s skip the intro and get right to it. We posted a story on Instagram the other day asking our following for their questions on SEO. Here is what we got!
First, What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
The process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine. (like Google, Pinterest, Etsy, etc.)
What is the benefit of SEO?
SEO helps the right people find you. Having optimized meta tags and descriptions will help to increase your click-through rate, which also increases quality web traffic. SEO provides measurable results.
Are there different types of SEO?
Yes. On-page SEO focuses on optimizing parts of your website that are within your control, while off-page SEO focuses on increasing the authority of your domain through content creation and earning backlinks from other websites. Technical SEO includes items like web speed, mobile friendliness, and site structure.
Do you have to pay for SEO?
You do not have to pay for the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) placement. It is not the same as running a paid advertisement, it's an organic method of marketing. Most search engines rank based on Expertise, Authority, and Trust.
We recommend working with an SEO professional.
What is Organic Traffic?
Organic search results are the query results that are calculated strictly, algorithmically, and not affected by advertiser payments. So, when you hear someone say they specialize in “organic marketing” that means that they do not focus on running paid advertisements.
What Industries Benefit from SEO?
If you have a website or social page and your goal is to drive people to them, then you benefit from SEO.
